Students fly together as a group to 阿克拉, 加纳首都, on the Atlantic coast of West Africa, 以马科拉市场而闻名, 五彩缤纷的集市. Popular seafront spots Labadi Beach and Kokrobite Beach offer golden sand and high-energy nightlife.

两个星期, students will live and learn at the 达加拉音乐中心, 每天都要上音乐课, 跳舞, 语言, 非洲历史与歌曲.  

Students will take excursions to the National Museum, National Theatre, and a jazz club. Students will travel to Cape Coast to tour the 海岸角城堡.  A full day will be spent exploring 达加拉音乐中心 at 卡库姆国家公园. 

The group travel to Anomabu beach resort and enjoy the beautiful sandy beach and pristine blue waters. 随后参观 海岸角大学.

The program culminates with a final performance and departure dinner.

Following the program, students return to Michigan from Ghana.

The class meets regularly during Summer III for 4 weeks at 韦德体育app官网 following a two-week study abroad in Ghana. The program is offered by the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance at the 达加拉音乐中心. 

课程 are taught in English by OU faculty and instructors at 达加拉音乐中心.

在中心, 位于Medie, 北阿克拉, students receive daily instruction in the performing arts.

Students live, study, and rehearse on premises and eat at a the center—all meals are included. Wifi is available at the center and there is plenty of time for enjoying the nightlife in the city.

在旅行中, the group will stay in double occupancy rooms in hotels and share meals at local restaurants.

Students may purchase meals independently at the many restaurants, cafes and bistros throughout the region. Favorite cuisine in Ghana are includes fufu (a mashed potato-like dish), Banku(一种发酵的玉米面团), kenkey (fermented corn and cassava dough), 还有waakye(米饭和豆子).
